A Lot of Changes!
Hello everyone! It has been a hot minute since I have been on this website and updated it. I apologize. But, as for many, many, many people around the world, Covid has put a hold on a LOT of events, performances, etc. So, I have changed my energy focus, just a little bit. I now co-host a podcast called Sounds of the World! With the help of my dear friend, Hillary Lester, we interview people in the arts from all over the world. We just ask questions about their lives, music, inspirations, and much, much more. You can check us out on any platform that you listen to podcasts! Or you can follow this link: https://redcircle.com/shows/sounds-of-the-world and listen from our host site. We also have a website, www.soundsoftheworldpodcast.com. And make sure you follow our Instagram at instagram.com/soundsoftheworldpodcast. For Black History Month, we are doing an artist spotlight everyday (except Monday when we air our newest episode). It has been a tremendous success and we have had the honor to meet some amazing people! Give us a listen and be ready for updates as we start to get Covid under control! Be safe, be healthy, and follow the CDC guidelines. I know it is tough, but it is better to wear a mask than for you, your child, your parent, or your significant other to be on a ventilator, right? Thank you for the support and be blessed!

Musaica Commission Winner!
I am extremely honored to have been selected as the winner of the Musaica Competition for composers living in Southern Louisiana! I will be writing a piece for the ensemble with a performance date expect in their 2020-2021 season.
Dreamscapes performed in Krakow!
I am honored to announce that my piano piece, Dreamscapes, was selected for a World Premier at the Academy of Music in Krakow, Poland. It will be performed by the wonderful pianist Ludger Hofmann-Engl. The piece was commissioned by Dr. Daniel Baldwin for his fiance, and my friend, Tammy Miller. Dreamscapes was inspired by Drei Klavierstuck by Schoenberg and even plays on the initial theme of the piece. I also include musical ideas to represent the dream theories of Freud and is an homage to the inspiring composer, David Maslanka. If you are in Krakow on the 10th of November, please come to the concert and enjoy not only my piece, but pieces by some of the newest generation of composers from around the world.

American Prize!!
I found out a few months ago that I was a semi-finalist in the American Prize Competition in the Orchestra Composition Student - Division with my piece Carolino's Nightmare that was premiered by the University of Nevada-Reno Orchestra. It is such an honor to be a semi-finalist and it is validation that I am following the right path in my life. While, I am not a finalist, my colleague Chrisotpher Lowry is, I look forward to one day being a finalist. I have also entered into some rather large composition competitions and look forward to hearing the results of those, even if they are not in my favor. Even a denial gets my name out to an audience and that could lead to some rather big events in the future. I just have to keep pushing forward and fine tuning my craft.
